Has anyone tried acupressure as a means to improve blood sugar control in diabetic individuals? I had a whole body acupressure treatment and I could feel pain in spots that correspond with those marked for acupressure for diabetics.
I am curious because of this experience.

I agree with cscon. If particular treatment is working for someone then it is immaterial whether that treatment is meant for that decease or not.
Acupressure has it's effectiveness but the results are not apparent and so, you cannot depend solely on that system. You can practice it to reinforce other systems of treatment.
It was done by a very nice and honest lady, not for diabetes, but as a relaxing and general health improvement measure. It was relaxing. But I found that pressure at one or two points was painful and she said that one relater to pancreas and the other to spleen or some such and asked me to gently apply pressure to these points regularly. I must look up the names of these points.
It was deeply relaxing.
Cscon, I did not deliberately drop out but was busy with household affairs.
I will have to evolve a vegan LCHF now.
We are told now that Metformin is age defying and will make us live long. With the stomach issues it causes in me, a day seems too long and today, when no one wants the aged, why should anyone want to prolong their lifetime? If man has an eternal soul, death is just the beginning of a new adventure.
No. I would not want to outlast my contemporaries or look younger than my age (60). I see the suffering and loneliness of the people of my parents' generation. Those who live with children live with bags packed as they move from one child to another when the son or daughter has to go somewhere. Others spend frustrated and lonely lives in posh old age homes. Very few take a positive view of their plight. It is loneliness that is the worst.
I am happy as I am
Vegan due to the Great Lent from 16 th February to April 5.
I wanted it to control my diabetes. My FBS normally vary 180-220 and PPBS is 300-320. I have undergone with PTCA in April, 2013. My other blood test reports were within normal range.
I have no experience. Without trying acupressure on diabetic patients one cannot rule it out also.
Clark's Law propounded by the writer(science fiction) and scientist (inventor of Geo-stationary orbit)
It states in effect that
If a respected senior scientist says a thing can be done, he or she is almost always correct; if the scientist says it cannot be done, he or she is almost always wrong.
Arthur C Clark replying Prof.A.W.Bickerton said this.
