This is only from the point of an interesting read since the study has many loopholes.

But it does highlight some issues that are discussed by people.

It confirms my belief that low carb.diets do not work for every body.As every individual is different from other body also responds in its own way which may not be the same (response).Human body is not physics, it is biology.

Though not for everybody but it works for most of the people. And studies have confirmed that the failure in most of the cases is because the diet is not maintained after initial benefits. (ref. from Jenny Ruhl's book "The truth about low carb diet")

Jenny ruhl is not type 2 diabetic.she is a commercial writer. She may have her views and she is entitled to it,but it is not universal truth.

How you concluded that she is not type 2 diabetic? She doesn't write anything of her own. Everything is backed by research.

Quote ---"She may have her views and she is entitled to it,but it is not universal truth." ---This applies to you also.

Carbohydrate cannot be different for different people. Fat also like wise. The metabolism rates can differ. The chemistry is not different. I have tested LCHF and it works well. I had advised many of my friends to follow. It didn't work since they did not follow. That's it.

Aiyaraj are you following LCHF diet for managing diabetes?

What has been your experience as you said you recommended it to others who did not follow so I am presuming that it worked great for you. Any idea why others did not follow?

How has your sugar levels improved and is there any reduction in drugs?

I am taking Long wheat ( Emmer Wheat) But still within the limit of 100 gms Carbs.

I take Ghee , eggs, Meat Fish Lots of vegetables. As I had posted earlier My HbA1C was 8 and now It is 5.6. ( I also consume alcohol which does not affect the sugar levels) I have seen when I do not follow the diet the sugar shoots up

and as soon as I shift back to diet It comes under control. More than that the overall improvement in health is unbelievable. I have reduced the medicines by 50% and soon will stop medication totally. When I suggested this to many of my friends there are many reasons why they did not follow. One main reason is that when they discuss with their physician, they are advised to follow a different diet mostly carrying Biscuits along with them. Then there are few who lack the motivation to try any change. This also answers Patliputra.

Thank you for confirming.

So great to hear that LCHF works for you. It is one of the best ways to control not just diabetes but overall health. There are Indian doctors in the US who are prescribing LCHF even to patients with 3,4,5 stents. I will talk about this someday later :)

Indian doctors here are still clueless about LCHF, so it is finally the patient that suffers. One biscuit is 4 grams (maybe more) with 70% carbs. (maybe more). Eat 4 and 10+ grams carbs eaten in the name of High Carb Low Fat atrocity.
