FACTS ABOUT FATS-A QUIZ
Actually if you look minutely, the quiz was not having anything to do with fats in our diet, except the misleading picture of a butter scoop. It was more to do with FATS in body, bmi, cholesterol inheritance, social networking impact etc.
The quiz is only to test the awareness about some basics regarding fat.
High cholesterol and triglycerides are good for health. Higher longevity is found to be associated with high triglyceride. Read some where.
Triglycerides are energy bonds.
He is logician and rational (according to you)
I do not know why, but my father used to eat two eggs a day, ghee, red meat etc. never bothered about statins. Died at 82 of Parkinson's. Used to have a peg of whiskey every day. Smoked as well.
My Father in law used to eat the malai off the milk and had a shiny, smooth pot belly. Died at 97 after breaking his hip a second time and facing an operation. Had motility issues later in life and frequent problems with bowel movement. Was on Cisapride.
Our problems did not trouble them. Why?
Eggs are damn healthy. It's only that researchers are waking up late. But, better late than never:

All this rant against SFA is so that High CARBS can sell.
Eggs are OK in moderate nos as part of a well balanced diet.Thinking of people changes with gains in the knowledge. Some people may take longer to accept the change, but we have to live with that.
12-15 eggs a week isn't anything new for LCHF diabetics who take eggs. In balanced diet, carbs more than 20% have no place.
Some people may take longer to understand, we have no issues with that. But, they can't call those who change FAST as "road side dot coms" because they should realize that those who change FAST are not "educated idiots dot com"
In my opinion,we should accept that every one has their own perspective and rationale. We may not agree most of the time.We can express our own point of view and leave it at that.
There are so many factors involved,in terms of life style, physical activity, stress levels, quality of food eaten, environmental pollusion and so on and so forth.I feel we should not compare people of generations apart. You know the saying ,'my grandpa was driving a bullock cart and I am piloting a Boeing'.But both the jobs might be equally demanding in their respective environments.

Anyone and everyone can and does grow older. That doesn't need any talent or ability. The idea is to "grow up" by always finding opportunities in change. Those who fear death are the ones who are full of regrets for missing the opportunities in change.
