Dear George,

Last two days I am following LWMDR as per your msg and contuining medication as per my doctor. However I have some doubts reg food items to be taken while following LWMDR as mentioned below.

1.Kindly advise some vegitable NAMES to be taken.

2.Is it OK to take RICE during Lunch time,If it is OK,Kindly advise quantity.

I have stopped taking fruits and sweets long ago,BS levels are FBS 110 and PPBS 156 and doing exercise(walking) regularly for 45mins.

Your advice on above will be very much appreciated.

Dear uppala,

Continuing existing medication is a part of LWMDR.

Sorry that I am not much familiar with English names of vegetables; so the following:

1. Avoid STARCHY, SWEET & ROOT vegetables; rest all you may take.

2. Lunch can be RICE & curries; quantity required to quench your hunger. With this quantity if your blood sugar increase or do not decrease, then we will reconsider the quantity of rice.

Ask more, in case of doubt.

A common & regular caution for all present & future readers; please ignore if you have read it once.

IF ANY ONE START LWMDR, DO NOT STOP PRESENT MEDICATION ABRUPTLY; IT WILL CAUSE THE BLOOD SUGAR TO SHOOT UP. TAPER DOWN (REDUCE) MEDICINES GRADUALLY DEPENDING ON REDUCTION OF BLOOD SUGAR, AS PER YOUR DOCTOR'S ADVICE OR BASED ON YOUR JUDGEMENT IN CONSULTATION WITH ME. LWMDR is not just drinking Long Wheat Mash, it is a Diet Regimen. One has to follow associated restrictions also since Long Wheat does not have muscle power like chemical drugs. ONE HAS TO CONTINUE LWMDR EVEN AFTER CHEMICAL DRUGS DOSE REACH ZERO, TO GET DIABETES CURED. Blood sugar becoming normal is not equal to cure of diabetes; please read appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... Pit-falls

Curing Diabetes is like driving, swimming or bicycling; guidance & supervision are highly desirable while learning.

Dear George,

I'm 63 yrs old, diabetic for the past 10 yrs and undergone CAGB 6 yrs ago.The current BS readings are FBS 102, PPBS 190, HbA1c 6.9. with allopathic medicines. I've decided to follow LWMR and in fact started it from this morning.I walk regularly in the morning for 45 min to 1 hr and in the evening for about 45 min

I've few doubts .Kindly clarify.

1.I've read in your article the method preparing the kanji as first pressure cooking the whole wheat and then grinding in a mixie. Is it ok to grind the whole wheat first and then pressure cooking to save time and fuel.

2.What is the consistency of the kanji, is it to be watery or is it ok if it is semi solid?

3.whether I can take some snacks in between break fast and lunch and in between lunch and dinner,of course restricting sugar

4.whether I can take coffee or tea with little country sugar

Thank you,

Paul.M.T.Raj

Dear Mr ganapathy,

Please use proper window to compose response so the person who you expect to see it & respond will get an alert mail.

10 years, with allopathic medicines FBS 102, PPBS 190 & HbA1c 6.9%.

1. I feel NO. Saving time & fuel is not the primary concern. Dry grinding is feared to spoil the curative property of Long Wheat by the Static Charge Accumulation. Grinding after cooking is not imperative; I had never done that. It was only when others who has less patience to chew it raised objections, that I suggested it (To verify its correctness I purchased half a kilo LW, cooked it & whipped in a mixie & confirmed).

2. As told in my appropedia article & repeated several places, for one volume of grain I used six volume of water for my taste & convenience. There is no hard & fast rule other than that Long Wheat must get cooked well. It can be semi solid or solid but ONE SHOULD NOT DRAIN OUT THE RESIDUAL WATER IN IT AT THE END OF COOKING.

3. I FEEL YOU HAVE NOT READ MY ARTICLE. Repeating same thing 100 times to 100 people is unpleasent, I am not a Doctor & I do not charge any consultation fee. You please read at appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... LWMDR

appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... Pictures for comparison, Preparing LWM

4. No sweet whether country or otherwise.

Thank you,

Paul.M.T.Raj

Dear George Sir

What you have shown the world is fantastic - it would help if a trust or foundation could be set up or a hospital where LWMDR is administered under supervision.

Where can we get Samba wheat in USA - relatives are visiting and would like to share your regimen.

May God Bless You Sir

Kind regards

Krishnan

ShooterGeorge Dear George

Thank you for the wonderful guidance you are giving. I have started experimenting with different recipes to make LWMDR a bit more interesting. I tried making dosas of Long Wheat and they were quite tasty.

One doubt I had wrt to the above reply of yours in that you mentioned that dry grinding is feared to spoil the curative property of Long Wheat by the Static Charge Accumulation. But we make chapatis only using dry ground flour. I also checked in your write up in appropedia that you have mentioned that LWMDR can be followed by making chapatis also. So, this seems a little contradictory. Can you help clarify?

Can we drink coconut water during LWMDR? You have mentioned not to consume cooked root vegetables. But can they be consumed raw through salads like radish, carrot, beetroot, etc.? Is eating pickle allowed (I am used to eating pickle with kanji)? I usually eat amla pickle sold by Patanjali.

And for all you Mumbaites looking for sourcing this wheat in Mumbai, I came across a gentleman named Gaurav who is a trader solely in organic foods who has a warehouse in Mulund. He can be reached at 09673035460. The wheat is called khapli gahu widely in Maharashtra. People might know it by its any other name but yes khapli gahu rings a bell. I called him up but he had a stockout of LW and said will take a month from now for it to be made available.

Best Regards

Jits

There should not be any problem other than that it will take more time to cook.

Hello Mr George, I just joined this community and learned about LWMD. I have been diagnosed as diabetic in the month of March 2016 and since then i am on medication taking tab Glyciphage sr 500 mg. Last month my HBA1C was 7.4 and MPG 165.7 which is of course on higher side.

My Question about LWMD is, can we take it as Indian chapati and would it be effective taking it in form of boil. I am also alcoholic and my doctor said if next test of Lipid profile shows some problem then i have to stop alcohol completely.

Please suggest proper diet to control all these problems
