Low Carb Diet:

I had earlier reported that I have stopped taking wheat chapati at Dinner. In two months, I had reduced weight by 2 Kgs. This month I have again been able to reduce by 1 Kg. This comes to about 1 Kg per month. So it is a confirmation from from me that absence of chapati at dinner helps in weight reduction. This correspondingly reduces the need for insulin dose, signifying that the body is more near normal. Any comments ?

if you take carbs less than 100gms there is likely hood of developing ketosis which is a medical emergency.

WHAT IS THE SPECIFIC DIET YOU ARE FOLLOWING

AM A VEGETARIAN AND 67 YRS

6AM: one cup tea,

7.30: one more cup tea

8 AM:: Oat with milk,(or Dalia with milk) one fruit, one veg, one tea. (No Suji, corn flakes, bread)

11 AM: one tea with namkeen or fruit.

2PM: Lunch: 2 small wheat chapatis, one dal, salad(cucumber, tomatoes, onion), one veg, one curd

5PM: one tea, fruit and some namkeen or sprout if available

9PM: Two veg,/ legumes( no curd), one papad

10-11PM: one cup milk (optional).

Exercise: Yoga for 40 min., brisk walk 40 minutes in the morning

From 73 Kgs three months back, it has come down to less than 70 Kgs. I feel better. No weakness. I got this diet approved by the dietician. I will re-check with her in a month's time.

Absolutely wonderful...I too do almost the same, except that instead of chapati s in the afternoon, I take one stuffed paratha in breakfast with buttermilk.

and Tea with no sugar no milk.

started yoga from 1st May,( 6am to 7 am.) abt 60 mins and morning walk 40 mins 520 am to 6 am.

come down from 71 kg to 69 in 45 days.

Since you have got the diet appvd from dietician... I will sincerely follow.

This is very encouraging. Please do inform us after one month.

What is your BMI? Mine was about 23 which though acceptable, is on higher side.

pl.be care full what you eat specially if are a suffering from DM.harmful effects show only after some time.
