I feel you are taking adequate medication and exercise.Where you may need to change in the diet.Try to have Long Wheat porridge for breakfast and dinner also if possible. Also eat boiled mixed sprouts before lunch and dinner. This will help you to cut down on rice. Both Long wheat porridge and sprouts are tasty, nutritious and natural foods without any side effects.Try this for a few weeks. You are sure to get good results and continue with it.Long wheat is available at Bangalore Nilgiri's stores and it is called Samba wheat.

Hi emaarvee,

Your diet appears to be good. If any change is felt necessary at a later stage, we will consider it then.

I wonder why you are having more medication even though your diabetes level is below your husband's readings!

Another point noted is that there are eight food intakes.

In my case LWM was prepared without any additives. The reason you added rasam mix & vegetables is to make some change, right? I do not know whether it will be good or not. I was using all permitted curries as side dishes to make the food tasty. It may be better to cook separately.

To make life healthier you may practice yogasans, pranayam and a special breathing technique called Sudarshan Kriya taught in Living Well Program of The Art Of Living . Stress management is also an important factor along with Medication, Diet control and Exercise.

Madam , you have not mentioned your present glucose levels . You have not mentioned if you are a vegetarian , Eggarian or non-vegetarian. From the info you have given I feel that you are taking extra carbs in the breakfast in the form of Idli Dosa Upma etc. You have to shift to High fat low carb diet to control your sugar levels as well as weight. Instead of going for 4 km walk in the morning it is better if you can do 2km in the morning and 2 km in the evening. This will do lot of good to your knees ankles and heels. You must remember that your blood sugar levels get elevated if you have any inflammation in your body. Do you practice Pranayama daily ? Do you have stress ? Daily 20 minutes of simple Pranayama will destress your body.

Hi

This world is full of, it seems, Diabetic patients, and Doctors, and Business people who want not to go in loss with their existing medicine sales, plus pharma-people who do not want Right medicines to be invented. Poor patients at their wits end, running skelter pelter with burning stomach, bloached intestine and lost vision, and amputed limbs is a pathetic scene in this world! Thousand people with thousands of medicines is very very distressing.

Looking at all these my tension increases like every body, result is again increased BS level.

Diabetes can be cured or controlled by proper diet, exercise and regular monitoring. It seems you are facing side effects of Metformin and other drugs administered with insulin for diabetes.

In Ayurveda Science there are some effective Aushadies which may cure DM.

Your diet needs to changed .

Avoid normal tea/cofee , have green tea added with lime juice

Have regular use of Gehu Ki roti instead of whet floor.

Introduce Dalia to your diet. Have Salads in large qty. before starting your meals, at least 30 mins before. Stop oily/sweets /salty foods for 30 days ( this had to be followed strictly)

Stop brisk walking , go for normal walk , some times brisk walking may lead to ankle, joint, tow pain.

Ayurvedic Aushadies recommended for you are :

Vasant Kusumakar Ras Tablets every morning 1 each for 30 days

Arogya Vardhinai Tab 2-2 with water twice a days

Chandraprabhavati 2-2 with water twice a days before meal

Mamejavo Churn 1 spoon every morning

for pain _ Kesuar Guggal 2 tabs in the morning with water

Please get monitor your sugar levels every week without ail and continue all the medicines prescribed by your doctor.

Please, Cut coffee intake since it will temporarily shoot blood level. Milk coffee normally people take . It is harmful to DM patients. Take only Two or three coffee or tea. Sugar free itself except Stevia is very harmful to your health and prolonged use may affect Kidney and may be a cause for brain tumor. I suggest Green Tea with lemon and Cinnamon

or coffee from green coffee seed. The above two are not harmful and may control Blood sugar depending on your body response. You may practice times 15 minute walking after 40 minutes of food intake. Do not sit more than half an hour in one place and give healthy movements to your body by way of changing your life style. Implement one by one depending on your mind acceptance. When you discontinue Insulin check your blood sugar.

Did you know that Pioglitazone was banned in some countries including India because it is proven to cause Urinary tract Cancer in the long run? Even though the ban is lifted, the adverse side effect is & will be still there.

You are taking/doing ALL THINGS supposed to be more than sufficient to handle the problem. Even then your problem is still there & is probably getting worse. It simply means that what is being done is either not correct or not complete or both.

TAKING MEDICINES ALONE WILL NOT BRING DOWN BLOOD SUGAR ALWAYS. THAT IS WHY PATIENTS ARE FORCED TO MOVE FROM EXERCISE TO DIET CONTROL TO LOW DOSE TABLETS TO HIGHER DOSE TABLETS TO INSULIN INJECTION AND COMBINATIONS OF THESE. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR FOOD HABITS & LIFE STYLE ALSO TEMPORARILY TILL CURE.

Did you see an SOS question here on 30-10-2013? If not, please see it & my response to it at healthunlocked.com/diabetes... Diabetic Pathies

IF ANY ONE START LWMDR, DO NOT STOP PRESENT MEDICATION ABRUPTLY; IT WILL CAUSE THE BLOOD SUGAR TO SHOOT UP. TAPER DOWN (REDUCE) MEDICINES GRADUALLY DEPENDING ON REDUCTION OF BLOOD SUGAR, AS PER YOUR DOCTOR'S ADVICE OR BASED ON YOUR JUDGEMENT IN CONSULTATION WITH ME. LWMDR is not just drinking Long Wheat Mash, it is a Diet Regimen. One has to follow associated restrictions also since Long Wheat does not have muscle power like chemical drugs.

Curing Diabetes is like driving, swimming or bicycling; guidance & supervision are highly desirable while learning.

Please report progress for the benefit of others.
