Laparoscopic Surgery Mucus

I have had a recent laproscopic surgery over a week ago to have my appendix removed due to acute appendicitis. A note to add is that my appendix did not rupture according to the surgeon who did my surgery, but the nurses said it did. Anways, the point of this post is that I have had regular bowel movements after the surgery with no problem except slight pain which is normal. Yesterday I had bad LLQ pain and I felt like I had to poop but couldn’t, and I just passed mucus balls that looked like green moss. Today, I went to school and I was in severe pain and I had to use the restroom every second it felt like I needed to poop but I couldn’t all there was was mucus and so I left school early because of how bad the pain was and how itchy it was. When I got home I was worried and I went to use the bathroom and this time it has mucus and blood in it. I called my surgeon and have an appointment tomorrow with him. But I’m just worried and need advice if this is normal or not.

Hope you are ok, that you saw the surgeon and problem is being investigated further. I have a similar issue of since last Thursday I haven't pooped, not constipated but am pooping only jelly like slimy not stringy slightly yellow mucus, it is escaping out of me sliming my underwear like slightly yellow jelly like snot. Am not feeling really unwell, but not feeling completely well either. To embarrassed to see my gp about it. Sorry if I've grossed you out. x
