In September my bowels started going crazy constipation and diarrhoea I had bad anxiety at the time the starting October I got rectal pain sharp shooting pain every time I got my period but just recently the rectal pain is more of a constant pressure like there's something up there I'm totally exhausted have headaches and for the last few days can't stop pooping or feeling like I need to I have nausea after opening bowels and my periods are a bit off spotting inbetween and bleeding after sex no blood per mucus in feces tho so I'm confused I've been referred to the gynacologist to investigate endo but I don't know if I'm going down the right path or if this sound more like colitis or even something more sinister I'm really worried and any advice would be great x

So scared can't stop worrying
Does it feel like someone kicked your butt. I have not been diagnosed with UC yet and I hope not. But I had fibroids and that is how I described how I felt. Like a kick in the rear. Dr said that other women said their time of the month causes pain like that too. She heard it described that way as well. I’m sorry that you feel bad. I’m sure we will get it sorted out.
No at first it was like a sharp shooting pain now it just feels as though there's something there like a pressure I've been to docs loads and had a rectal exam but she said it felt normal although she quite freely admitted she had only been a doc a few months ,thank you for replying xx
Endometriosis can effect other parts of the body not just the uterus. The symptoms of bowel endometriosis very much like IBS but change with the menstrual cycle, worsening in the days before and during a period.
Bowel endometriosis symptoms include pain when opening the bowels, painful intercourse, and can even cause rectal bleeding during a period.
Symptoms of colitis include diarhoea, pain, bleeding, and/or mucus with more than normal bowel movements a day.
Proctitis is a condition in which the lining tissue of the inner rectum becomes inflamed and can be caused by IBD or infection and can be short term (acute) or long term (chronic)
Has the doctor done any blood tests to check your inflammatory markers - these show if there is any inflammation or infection in the body. Although this wont show if its colitis or not it will help with investigating the possibility. Also a feacal calprotectin is a useful tool in looking to see if there is inflammation specific to the bowel, it can help to give a picture of normal, IBS, proctitis, or IBD. However NSAID (non steroidal anti-inflammatory meds such as ibuprofen) and food infections can give a raised result, so usually a test is repeated afte a few weeks to rule this out.
Had plenty of blood tests done last year when this all started and nothing was detected only folic acid deficiency x
It could be endometriosis. May be worth asking GP if they can do a feacal calprotectin test just to be on safe side x
