I had a stool test done and tested normal for infection but for calprotecin it’s 1800.

The gi said there’s inflammation in my intestines.

I’m scared right now going in for a colonoscopy next week. I never eat meat.

What are you scared of? Whatever they find is already there, all they are going to do with the test is diagnose and treat whatever they find. Your Calprotectin is on the high side, and pointing more towards IBD than IBS, but the sooner they diagnose, the sooner they can start treating you. Good luck.

Hi there,

As FRreedman said what are you scared of?

A high calprotectin just shows that your case is most likely going to be IBD.

And if you've got a colonoscopy soon then I wouldn't worry about because it's a completely painless procedure, a bit uncomforatable not gonna lie but it's nothing to be scared of.

There are a lot of different treatments for IBD so don't worry about it.

I hope things go well for you.
