Anyone before diagnosis have wind all night until you go for a no2 each morning?

some nights I have really bad wind until I do a no2 each morning, I’m currently waiting for a colonoscopy but not sure when this will be. I get cramping and belly feels tender and I have so much wind during the night until I have pass a stool. Is this common with any of the IBD’s? Is there anything I can do to help this until I get a colonoscopy? I also don’t eat gluten as I cut it out years ago. Many thanks 🙏🏼

sounds like IBS issues and not worry too much to be honest.. something your digestive system doesn’t like and causing you the wind issues.. the colonoscopy will give you the peace you need but I wouldn’t worry at all

Be careful what you eat at night that might cause wind, and try not to eat too late. That is some of my problem. Check out fodmap foods, and avoid too much fibrous food. It can be constipation causing the pain, but too much of the wrong fibre can make it worse

I know carbonated beverages will often cause excessive gas.
