Finished couch to 5k and started 5k+ programmes , do you do speed and stamina on alternative training days or what do you do
Hi, I just dip into them now and then when I want a quick run but went straight onto bridhe to 10k as I wanted to get my distance up. Even though I'm running 7k or more regularly, I still find the speed one really challenging (it's so short in terms of time but my legs really avhe after!!) I think it's personal choice now you've graduated, enjoy it, however you choose to contine!
My normal running pattern for the three weekly runs is Speed once, Stamina (or Stepping Stone if I'm wanting a slightly easier run), and a longer 3.5 mile circuit. I find if I concentrate too much on the Speed podcast, I lost stamina - but I do want to speed up a bit, so find it useful to include it.
At the moment, with the school holidays the normal routine had gone all to pot and I've struggled to get in more than one run a week, so it's been a bit random. I did Stepping Stone the other day since it was a whole week since my previous run; today I did Speed because I didn't have very much time available so needed the shorter time plan!
