On top of the world :) W4 R2

The first run of week 4 beat me. I felt like a failure and was totaly disheartened after being unable to finish the last bit of the final 5mins. The only thing that made me feel better was logging onto this site and reading some of your inspiring stories, it gave me hope that I could do it if I kept at it.

So, last night I dragged myself to the gym, determined that I could do it this time, and I did!

It nearly killed me and I looked somewhat akin to a beetroot but I felt great! I did get a few odd looks in the gym, sweaty and puce and grinning from ear to ear but I really didn't care.

This programme is amazing and its working :)

It concerns me when people DON'T look like a beetroot at the gym, they're clearly not pushing themselves enough! But well done you for keeping at it! Never feel like a failure for finding something difficult! :)


Great attitude! You can always go a bit slower if it's getting a bit too much - as the runs get longer, quite a lot of people decide that slow and steady makes it all much more manageable. You can always speed up after graduation, if speed is what you're after.

On the other hand, if you're happy with things as they are, go for it! Well done. :)


Thanks guys. I'm still finding it tough towards the end of each section so maybe dropping the pace will help, i'll give it a go next time :)
