The last 5 minute run took everything I had again, it was so hard. My calves were screaming, I couldn’t feel my feet, I could feel my self welling up as I shuffled along. I almost couldn’t make it.
I’d taken it slow and steady on the other runs and felt they went well but still the last one nearly beat me. I just can’t see how I can move on. I’m gonna take a couple of days to rest my legs and try again, not giving in, not gonna let it beat me!

Amazing x you’ve got the right attitude right there. Take the break you need and get out there again xxx
The fact you didn't give in is a testament to how hard you've worked and your determination. You should be so proud xxx
Take as many rest days as you need, don't worry about time frame. I've had a fair few set backs and I've had to repeat a fair chunk of the programme. So after 12 or 13 weeks I'm on week 8 run 2 with no signs of stopping. There were so many points where I felt the way you described. But believe me, you will get through it.
A tiny little dog chased me down the street a couple of runs ago and I nearly wet myself because I was holding a wee in and the bark gave me such a fright 😂 Mr. Bean springs to mind.
That's just how I felt too. Week 4 seemed like a big jump from week 3. I gave myself an extra rest day as I definitely felt I needed it and I managed run 3 this morning. I know I need to do a lot more stretching on my rest days now. You'll get there, just listen to your body.
Well done! You will move on, rest and make sure you are warming up nicely with some dynamic excercise just before 5 min walk, stretching calves after runs, making sure you're well hydrated and some crosstraining on running rest days..
Almost could have. But you didn't so well done you. Keep your head up clear your mind breathe. And if all else fails think of the pog wearing wellies im sure that would pretty much fix anything?
