I started week five today with Baxter, my dog. We got suited and booted, extra layers for me, and did our route in reverse for some variety. Thankfully he kept his poo stops to the walking sections and close to bins ( I hate jogging with a bag in hand). It was my best run to date. Baxter was mostly well behaved, I felt energised and warm enough with a base layer & gloves and I managed my fastest mile/km and longest distance yet. I even got spotted on route by may sister in law and got a beep of encouragement.
I'm trying not to think too much about the next 2 runs, slow and steady is the plan. Happy running everyone.

Aww, I'd love a dog to run with, what breed is Baxter? We both work full time so I don't think it would be fair to have a dog at the moment. We do have a cat but when I'm getting my kit on she just looks at me from the radiator hammock with such disdain!
