Strength and flexibility programme

Does any one do the strength and flexibility programme in conjunction with the C25K runs? I am just about to start week 6 and feel I need to improve my knee strength and upper body strength - watched some of the video and it seems reasonable (so that is what Laura looks like)

No, but I do the 30 Day Shred exercise DVD as it's interval training and has really helped my strength (plus it's only 25 mins so easy to fit in). I think it's good to do a strength program in conjunction with the running.

yes. I' do it regularly. I found it did help strengthen my knees which have always been a bit dodgy. I very definitely have improved the strength in my upper arms. I like listening to podcasts - it works for me having Laura tell me what to do, tho' now because I've done it so often I want her to hurry up & stop explaining!

Not currently doing it but think I might start it tonight. My hips, back and thighs are really starting to complain about longer runs now and I ache so much after and the next day its starting to make me feel a bit queasy. I do think I need to start some stretching which so far I have not done afterwards

I'm doing it but having a break whilst I make the most of Ekhart Yoga's 30 day beginner challenge until mid-April - that's definitely strength and flexibility stuff!

Started it last week, blogging on the S&F site.

Thoroughly recommend it to balance C25K. :-)
