Completed the programme!

Have completed the programme. Very impressed with myself as I was a complete novice. When I started this programme, I was overweight for my height. Was 11 stone 7, for 5ft 4. My blood pressure was reaching concerning levels. I have been suffering depression since supposedly ha ing Covid in March. Could not walk around the house without breathing problems. Poor mental health set in, crying everyday, unable to move. This went on from March untill June. Somewhere, some inner strength surfaced. I began with short walks and a little help of medication. I changed my diet, I involved my husband. I went to the beach early morning, stood in cold water. Set myself one small task a day. Slowly getting better. Began Couch to 5k. Cannot believe how low I was and where I am now. Competed yesterday! 5k in 28 minutes. I weigh 10 stone 4 now, still eating healthy food. My blood pressure is about 118/75. Mental health in a good place now. Feel better than before illness. I am 51.

To summarise, sounds cheesy, but c25k changed my life.

What's next?

Wow! 5km in 28 minutes is fast for someone who was on the couch three months ago. Most graduates don't reach anywhere near that distance in half an hour. (I just scraped 5km in 30 mins on my graduation run.)

Congratulations! 🏃‍♀️🍾🏆🏅

Thankyou. I have surprised myself. My husband also completed! I have been doing some gentle workouts on utube inbetween running. I have just been so motivated. It's amazing how a certain experience changes your outlook.
