I have decided to take up the challenge. I live in a little village up in the Alps and so wore snowchains over my trainers this morning, but I've started, and feel quite pleased with myself already!

Welcome to the C25K community :). Over here in the UK we seem to be having a forever winter ... And once again today it is snowy in many areas! Great, eh ... Next week our clocks change to summertime so it will all change? ... Yeah right! :/

Lots of luck with your specially adapted footwear! Sounds as if you are determined to take on this challenge ;) You are right to feel pleased with yourself: this is an amazing programme and there is so much support on this forum for help, encouragement, cheering up and whooping with joy at successes along the way.

Take care and keep blogging your progress. X Linda :)

Welcome! As Linda says, rather a lot of us are in the snow at the moment - I had quite a surprise looking out of the window this morning!

I did the programme through Dec-Feb, so a fair bit has been in snow/ice - makes for pretty scenery anyway! May you enjoy your journey. :)

Hi Minnabluff, the starting is the hardest part i think, don't quite need snowchains here, but further up North probably required . Enjoy!

Thank you all for your encouragement, it's likely to snow another month here , we are at 1400m altitude, and the winter is very long, but the summer is really boiling hot, so I thought now the best time to get going.
