because you may well be losing inches as you gain strength.

I measured when I started the challenge and again today, 33 days into the challenge and I have already lost an inch from my hips and two and a half inches from my waist :D That's not bad going!

5x50 part one update

Day 29 30 minute swim

Day 30 30 minute swim

Day 31 60 minute swiss ball class

Day 32 50 minute step class

Day 33 5k walk

And tomorrow I am off to Australia where hopefully the sun will shine, because there's no chance of that here!

I will be probably running 5k in the morning before I go, then doing a 5k walk on Sunday when we are in Singapore airport and probably a 30 minute swim when I get to Sydney on Monday.

I will hopefully keep blogging whilst away, because the challenge officially begins on the 31st. By then I'll be on day 42 I think, which means I'll be doing a few days after the challenge officially ends to take it up to 100!

I forgot to say...my legs ache a bit!!!

Good luck for your next two weeks of half marathon training and I hope the weather doesn't get in your way!

Thanks. Would be so much nicer if I could expect it to be at least dry. Oh well what doesn't beat you makes you stronger and it could rain/snow on the day so it's all good training :)

You really are an inspiration. I'm beginning to realise it is going to be pretty tough even to do 30 minutes a day (my 5k equivalent) unless the weather cheers up a bit! I'm going to give a good go though.

Hope your flight to Australia goes smoothly. Looking forward to some Ozzie photos I hope?

Thanks Greenlegs. Once you get into the swing of things it's not too bad to get 30 minutes done.

Apart from the flight I just hope we get to the airport okay! No snow here yet thankfully.

Safe journey and say hello to Oz from me. Oh - and remember the factor 50 you lucky lucky woman!

Thanks Malcy :) factor 50 bought and packed. When we booked the flights we didn't realise it was going to be such awful weather at home, so it's turned out to be good timing really.

Thanks for the reminder. I've not measured myself yet and I really must do. I know I lsot some girth during 5x50 last autumn, but hadn't measured, not weighed myself. Unfortunately I regained the fat when I was signed off running with injury.

Good for you with your continuing daily 30+ mins of exercise. Have a great holiday in Australia.

Yes, it's amazing how your body shape changes by doing some exercise every day. Good luck with the start of the 5x50 next Sunday; at least you know what you're in for!

That's brilliant Theresa! I must remember to do that. Have an absolutely fantastic holiday in the sun ( not jealous at all......!) and looking forward to joining you on the challenge....just 9 days to go!! :O
