Well after alot of trepadation leading into this first run of week 3, I was pleasantly surprised at how well I did.
The prospect of running for 3 minutes when I completed the last run of week 2 seemed impossible, but this program seems to know my body better than I do. I took on board the suggestion of slowing the pace a little and it produced the desired result.
Going into the first 90 second runs my shins felt very sore and those negative thoughts started running through my head again (you're never gonna complete this session!!!), but what I am beginning to understand is that running is not just physical, its very much a mental activity aswell, and run after run that positive mindset is sneaking in, which is huge for me as it leads into so many other aspects of my life..
The program is great and I look forward after every blog to hearing your comments and notes of support...
Bring on Run 2...

Thanks for your post Gaz- I'm due to do the first run of week 3 tomorrow and am worried I won't manage the three minutes of running. Your post has given me the encouragement I needed! Well done to you too.
I think I've gained even more from the mental training of this programme from the physical side - it really has taught me that I can argue back at those gremlins that want me to duck out!
