W1 Done! First week thoughts.

Managed to get through W1! Quite proud of myself though I can only run for 60 seconds. I'm getting less and less tired at the end of each workout, so my body must slowly be adapting. I'm also getting more confident about exercising and don't feel as much self-conscious as I did at first. Will be keeping to my Mon-Wed-Fri schedule even though the weather's been a bit rough in Lisbon. I hear people saying W2 is quite different and harder than W1: I'll try not to think about it...

Congratulations! I have my last run of W1 tomorrow. I'm based in theMiddle East so the weather is incredibly hot and we've had sand storms and high winds the last couple of days too but I'm trying not to think too much about the weather. Good luck for W2

Good luck for week 2, and well done for what you've already achieved!!

Week 2 may be harder than week 1 feels now (ie now that you've done it 3 times), and the first time you do it, it'll be hard work. But you can definitely do it - you've already noticed the progress you've made!! And I guarantee by the time you've done week 2 three times, you'll be thinking that that was OK too.

Well done, and Enjoy!! :-)

Well done for getting through week 1. This is a great achievement in itself. Just getting out of the door was really hard for me, I was so worried about what people would think. I am now about to start week 6, my confidence is increasing with each run, I no longer worry too much about others, in fact if I pass someone it is becoming a pleasure because we can exchange a smile. I have found two things of great help - 'slow and steady' and 'just do it'.

Happy running and keep blogging!

Petal I've been keeping that in mind: slow and steady! But today I went for W2R1 and it was REALLY hard..! When I finished I couldn't run for 15sec more! Best regards

Really good to see you're already feeling the benefits of the programme, Tristao - it is amazing how quickly it begins to affect fitness, isn't it?

As others said, keeping running and blogging. It's great having people all round the world doing c25k at the same time. :) All the weather reports are fascinating - deep snow and sandstorms! :O

Each week can be a challenge in its own way, but each run is doable. Great job getting started and welcome to week 2!! Gayle :-)

Congratulations, week two has its own way of creeping up on you. I run Monday, Wednesday and Friday so keep it up. Good luck with week two, I am only on week two myself so I share the pain.

I have completed week two and all I can say is that the lower front of my legs really hurt whist running, but it soon passed after I stopped. So on to week three from Monday.

Good luck and have a nice weekend

Thank you all for your encouragement! Went for W2R1 today (no sandstorms) and felt completely exhausted! You should have warned me about it!
