I made it through W6R2 ...and it felt good ... however my husband brings the dog with us and as the runs get longer the dog is getting more shattered ... obviously the greyhound in her is a sprinter not a distance runner
Hope everybody else has had a good run

Poor old dog! I'm sure I read somewhere about dogs having less stamina than people, but can't remember where. Something to do with them overheating not being able to sweat?
...Think we will leave her at home now the runs are all going to be 20 mins + though has been quite amusing watching my hubby jog and get the dog past other dogs and the odd cat or fox
It's nice to know I'm not the only one running with a greyhound! You'll probably find (unless she's very old) that she'll do more and more too as you improve - my 6yo greyhound does 5-7k regularly and easily, although by the second half she doesn't run out in front or disappear into the wood, just runs behind me like a shadow. The border collies could go all day and don't even notice the odd 5k...
Ours is a lurcher ...so greyhound border collie cross ... and she is about 10 (not 100% sure as she was a rescue one) ... she keeps up easily with us (she has to be on a lead as near roads and cats!) but she is just so Knacked when she gets home she doesn't move for the rest of the night ...and we aren't up to the 5k yet!
I thought running with the dog was a fab idea but now I am on the non stop runs I get a bit miffed when he decides he wants to sniff, run, catch anything in the woods I have to stop, jog on the spot and lose precious momentum, grrrrrrr on Saturday he even started running home and I was only half way. Had to retrace steps, call him back and resume running all this stress and a stonking cold was not improving my running experience, hey ho will start taking him when hubbie is back on his running legs, he can look after him then
