Wow that wasn't pretty.
After completing recent sessions with what felt like a bit left in the tank, I approached this run with a degree of confidence and a small bit of excitement. I'd already run the 2 x 8 minutes so all I had to do was join the 2 runs with a 4 minute run in between. Easy eh?
Not so easy in the end, but I did it and thats the main thing. It was far from pretty but its done. There was nothing left in the tank and for the first time in recent weeks I was glad when told to stop.
After almost walking like Robocop for a couple of minutes during the warm down, the euphoria kicked in and the realisation of what I'd just done dawned upon me. It's a great feeling to have achieved this much so far and like many others have said, if you'd told me 5 weeks ago that I would be able to run for 20 whole minutes, I wouldn't have believed you.
To anybody reaching this point in the programme, you can do it. If I can, you can. What seems such a big jump is as much of a mental challenge as it is a physical one.
Believe that you can do it and keep running!!
