I think stopping running to walk then running again disrupts your rhythm, however if I remember rightly that is your last run, walk, run. So well done for finishing it and its all running from now on good luck
'maybe I was pushing myself a bit too much' - sounds very likely - maybe ease off a little bit for the longer runs to come, so you can enjoy it a bit more? It's much easier to get yourself out there if you know you'll enjoy some of it!
27 degrees sounds pretty tough too. It's just 2.4 degrees here (that's with a point in between the two digits!) Brr!
