The programme is designed for three runs a week, with a day (or two) between each. If only twice a week is possible, that's still better than not running t all but obviously it'll take longer to get through it.
Hiya, I started today too - it was bright and sunny earlier so a great day to start. Good luck with the programme and I hope you can find time for 3 runs a week - soon the evenings will be light again X
had cramp last night and legs feel sore right now but aim to go for another run tomorrow night and then it will probably be Friday - due to work commitments - and then next Sunday.
My first run was a killer, to the point I had to convince myself I could go out for run two. My legs only started to feel better in the evening the day after. I'm now on Week 7 and ran for half an hour yesterday. Only once since have my legs been sore after a run (never the next day) but that was when I was into the longer runs.
The key thing is not to run on consecutive days and to complete the podcasts for a "Week" before moving on to the next Week. Some of us run on set days and for those people the 'three runs per week' may work best. Quite a lot of NHS Choices stuff is predicated on a particular lifestyle IMHO. I just aimed to run every other day.
