Head up, here we go!

So here I am...40 something, gave up smoking 4 weeks ago and looking forward (??) to W4R1 tomorrow. I have no idea what is in store for me as I never listen to the podcast in advance, but I have read some scary stories on here about W4!

My goal for this week? Apart from completing my runs (staggers) without collapsing? To run with my head up instead of looking at the pavement all the time :)

Great! You are going from strength to strength. Your body will thank you for it.

well done you that is fantastic - the stopping smoking and the running :-)

I had to laugh about the running with your head up - I totally do the looking at the pavement thing too - then I suddently remember to look up - it does actually help me relax a bit more - as when I raise my head up I also remind myself to lower my shoulders - I must look like the hunchback of Nostre Dame when I set out :-D

Thank you for the encouragement! Just back from W4R1 and although it was tough, it was not as bad as I imagined it would be! Very proud of myself for managing to complete all the runs :)

Skf28 - it's so easy to keep looking at your feet isn't it? But you are right, it makes you feel better when your head is up. Think I remembered about 50% today :)

Not what you're looking for?
