That sounds a very good way to distract from minute counting indoors. Perhaps I should investigate audio books for outdoor running - I hadn't thought of that before.

Good luck with wk 5 run 3 - you should be able to read quite a bit through that one!

Good idea give it a go see what you think. Bet amazon has some free audio books. It has free Kindle books. happy hunting.x

I like the idea of doing C25K on the cross trainer, why did you choose to do this way out of curiosity? I've had injury issues so have stuck to lower impact exercise this year rather than running...although I leant my parents my cross trainer a couple of years ago so I think it's time to get it back!

Hi didntrunthat , I started the plan last year in December was going well till I hit wk 2 . I had really bad pains in my knees, they where so bad I was taking ibuprofen and paracetamol plus wearing those tubular bandages. I really struggled at work ( it's a school) I spend a large part of my day on my feet . I struggled to sit then get up. I found exercises for knees on here. Kept them up 2 times a days s slowly oh do slowly the pain eased. I knew I couldn't go back to the pavements. So we have a X trainer at home and started again on that. I do have pains in the pads of my feet but I'm trying to lean back onto my heels more. This seems to be working . So its so long . Hope it helps.x
