I have been steadily building up my running and just completed week six, the 25 minute run was difficult for me but I managed it at quite a slow pace. I am very pleased to have managed 25 minutes of light jogging without injury.

WELCOME Dorun!!!!!!! You have done an amazing job so far getting to week 7! You only have a few more weeks to go and no need to worry about speed. As you build stamina, speed will eventually pickup. Keep blogging, we are a great group of runners here!!!! :-) Gayle. :-)

Dorun, you will find the search tags off to the side. They were an invaluable resource for me as I was going through the program. I still do a search using them every so often. Welcome again! Gayle

Hi life without the couch,

Thanks for your encouragement, I hope to build up my running speed gradually. My main goal is to complete couch to 5k first.

Welcome Dorun!!!! you will love this site. I totally enjoyed reading all the blogs as it is other's comments where you realise you are not alone in some thoughts and feelings. "A problem shared" as they say. Good luck with the rest of your running.

Hi Maturelady,

Thanks for your encouraging message. I agree what you say about us runners sharing many of the same feelings, I can see that we all have our struggles at various stages of our running. The support on this site is obviously really good. Thanks again for encouragement.

Welcome aboard, dorun!! Also, welcome to W7!! You are doing wonderfully in the program and will soon be wondering what to do as a Graduate!! :-)

You should indeed be very pleased with completing 25 minutes of running!! You have a lot to be proud of!! From one minute intervals to a full 25 minutes, now that is what I call incredible progress!!

It sounds like you have the right idea!! Completing each run is far more important than doing it quickly!! Speed will come with time. You are doing great!!

Keep us updated and most of all, Keep Running!! :-)

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the congratulations and your words of encouragement. I will keep to my plan of taking it easy so I am able to finish each run. As you and other members have said speed will come later, thanks Steve.
