Hello, new to forums, just about to run W6 R3

Hello! It's taken me a while to find these forums because I've been using the app rather than the website. I have been following the programme with my 16 year old daughter, with the odd break for holidays and hot weather. I am very slow, hence my user name! Tomorrow we will be doing our first 25 minute run...feeling a bit apprehensive. I managed the 20 minute run last week but those extra five minutes seem quite long!

Welcome and good for you for making this a family event. You'll nail that 25 minutes, no problem.

Hi had exactly the same thoughts as you but got back about 10 mins ago having just done w6r3. Once you get to the 20 break the final 5 mins down into sections. You know you can easily run 2 mins. Get those done. Then that's not so bad how about another 2 mins. Then a final 60 seconds and your done. Give it a go. You will be so proud of yourself once it's done

Hi and welcome. You will be fine. The programme gets you ready for this so relax, take it slowly and go for it!

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you for the encouragement! I wish I'd found the forums earlier! I guess it is down to mental attitude. I will let you know how we get on.

You've got the big 20 minute one done and the first two runs of week six have just built on that. Slow and steady (tortoise speed is very good for c25k). You can do this. Most definitely. So glad you found the forum, it was and still is my lifeline. Good luck with the next one, we're all right behind you :)
