Having switched to training inside due to asthma and not wanting to fill myself with steroids, my lungs are still not happy over the last few weeks they have, despite my yogic breathing, been getting worse. I go out of my way to avoid doctors and medication u less absolutely necessary (no idea why lol) so I have been trying various methods of coaxing my lungs into behaving themselves and stopping all this nonsense. It appears that sometimes positive thinking needs to give way to common sense lol as last night the old lungs gave up and a laughing fit brought on an nasty asthma attack......I blame my OH for making me laugh!
So lesson learned I am off to the doc for a checkup and more meds. My OH is wearing that "I told you you should go last week face" and my daughter has scolded me for not being sensible! I can just imagine the nurses face when my overweight self walks in with my running kit on (I was due to run this morning but will hopefully make it this afternoon). Cue lecture.
I know lots of you guys are running with asthma but I thought I would post this as a reminder to those like me who think they have it under control but do not. I do not advocate avoiding medication but I just can't seem to help it
