Santa Dash Ho Ho over

A few months ago, a discussion in the pub led to me discovering the C25K and entering a 5k Santa Dash. Dangerous places pubs.......

After completing the C25K a couple of weeks ago, I entered, and today completed my first ever race..albeit a Santa Dash. I finished a creditable mid table (far better than I'd hoped) and can almost say I enjoyed the experience of running with others. As headphones were off limits under the race rules, I missed my tunes, and knowing how far I'd gone, but there was a good atmosphere, and most of all I didn't feel out of place.

I know now that I need to set myself my next goal soon though in order to keep motivation for regular runs up and continue to enjoy the benefits my new found activity has brought.

Happy Running

Rob

Yes it was fun, my wife and daughter (in full santa suit too!) went along to support me.

Well done Rob! I must say you look very handsome in your Santa outfit. Just proves that you do not need to know how far/fast you have run. Just enjoy the moment.

Keep on Running! :-)

Well done! You certainly had a better fitting suit than me - my hat was far too small and perched on top of my head and the trousers were halfmast, but hey, it was great fun and for a good cause! :-)
