I've been off running for about 6 weeks now and really missing it. I was at the hospital yesterday and was told I could still not go to the gym but I could run as long as I was careful. I am really looking forward to getting out this morning but not too sure where to start :-( Might just go back to the beginning but I have a 5k Santa Dash in less than 4 weeks so I need to get back up to speed (not that I was ever fast he he) soon :-o This is the 1st time I have done the Santa Dash but it is for a local cancer charity and I am sure it will be great fun !! he he

Good idea to start at the beginning, see how you go. I bet you will soon be back up to 5K. What a great goal to aim for! I admire your determination and your courage. Keep posting on here, we will cheer you on!

I've been off running - and most other forms of exercise - for about five weeks now. First a knee problem then a chest infection. This morning, I intend to go for a brisk walk and do a gym circuit. Then, like you, I think I might start the C25K from the beginning. Good luck xxx

I think for both of you starting at the beginning again, you'll find you are able to progress more quickly than you did first time around. Also, you know you succeeded once so you WILL be able to do it again. You may even find you just need to do one or two of each weeks three runs. I'm sure you'll be ready for the Santa Dash. Good luck and enjoy it :-)
