I have just finished week 6. I follow an app which doesn't have a week 9 so I don't know if the runs are different. If they are, there isn't much difference.
Anyway, what I have learnt so far in this programme is to just keep going. I was TERRIFIED about running 5 minutes that first time. I was convinced I was going to fail. A few weeks later, and I just ran for 22 minutes at 7.5km/h. I never thought that would happen. Ever. 8 more minutes and I'll be running for a half hour! That thought is insane.
So this is just a quick blog post to remind you all that you should only bother to repeat days/weeks when you have failed, not before you have tried. Even when you don't believe you can do it, you will be shocked and surprised at how much your body can handle.
I've also recently gone down to a size 14 which is so exciting: my mom bought me a beautiful size 14 coat to celebrate
So, my rules of thumb are: just keep going. Trust in yourself, believe in yourself, believe in the programme. Don't accept excuses and remind yourself that in 8 short weeks time, you will be fitter than most of the population.
I've also written a blog post about calling myself a 'runner' at my personal blog: nikkijayne.wordpress.com/20...
