w6r1 - very, very windy!!!!

Today was like taking 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. The wind is terrific up in them thar hills where I live. But, I kept on running despite feeling almost stationary at times and completed the whole thing without any problems. Didn't break any Endomondo records today due to being back to run/walk again, but still had a pretty good time per mile despite the wild and ferocious wind battering me backwards. I can feel that I will be sore tomorrow in my glutes, because they are achy now. I had to push so very hard into the wind though so there's little wonder. I managed 2.65 miles today, so I really do feel that I am on target to get the 5k (3.1 miles I believe?) by the end of the 9 weeks. Dear Wind, please go away by saturday for my next run. I will run despite you, but I would so much prefer it if you just keep away until my run is done. Thanks wind, yours sincerely, Louise.

Well done I've whomped out on running tonight as the winds increasing all the time although tiring I bet in was exhilarating there's something magical about being out in the gales, so long as you're not trying to run against it!

Well done you!! No wind for me tonight, was dreading it after hearing it pick up during the day. Sounds like you "breezed" through your run anyway :) great job and good luck for the next one, fingers are crossed for no wind.

Well done! Agree about the wind today - not funny!

Brilliant! I've been quite angry when I've been out and the wind was against me. I took it personally! Great to see you persevered. This is my next run and I'm looking forward to doing it in the sunshine we've been promised, with no wind please! Perversely, I've run a couple of times in the rain and I quite enjoyed it! Let's all keep going x
