Hiya, I keep putting off my run today! It’s really windy so I’m like ‘I’ll do it later when the wind has slowed down a bit’ - any advice to just go out and run. Thank you

Windy Runs
It's fun to run in the wind and rain! Having said that it was ferocious this morning so I postponed mine too, first time since June that I've ducked out!
It's windier at night! Go now! We'll be hoping to hear that you went, later
Just go. It's coming up to winter the weather is always going to be poor so if you jib out now you'll only do it later down the line as well. Don't let it be an excuse.
Haha ... I thought you were going to say you couldn't run on account of some terrible gastric malady ... not simply that it was windy outside.
I ran in terrible conditions yesterday, it was blowing a full on hoolie ... luckily though it was tough on the outward section and gave me a bit of a turbo boost on the homeward bit. You just need to get your trainers on and start running and make the best of it.
Snap.... the thought of windy runs frightened me
Next time you question whether you should run or not, put all your gear on, because it makes the brain work more efficiently, go and stand outside your front door, because that is where you can see the lovely weather, rather than just listen to it. Once you are there you are not allowed back in the house until you have done warmup and run of prescribed time and cool down walk.
We can't do this for you Adam. You either want to run, or don't.
If there is no danger to life or limb.. wrap up and head out
I'm just back from running in bright sunshine and a strong northerly and I can tell you it was ace...Just go!
Do not carry a large sheet of plywood or a giant kite with you on your run.
Yeah. You either want to run or you don't want to run. There is no other formula.
Just go and face off the wind, you will feel so much better having done so. If you’re running in an area where there’s so much wind that the trees may fall on you, then fair point, you better wait. Otherwise fellow runner, you’ll miss the heady feeling of looking at all the non runners who are wearing duvets whilst you are wearing a smile! That alone is worth braving the wind for
What??? Unless you are in danger of being blown away the wind is fine. It’s actually very invigorating. Try it and you may love it
One of my favourite runs ever was in Hayle on the beach In a gale with my son. We had to turn sideways to actually breathe- we laughed so much and had so much fun leaning into the wind etc and messing about. Our time was dreadful but that’s not what it’s about either.
Yes, just go out & run
