Windy!!

Not a fail never a fail as I was out there! Back to week 6 due to knee injury R1 went ok R2 was not great 🙁 managed the first 10 minutes but the 2nd - disaster- had to stop and walk several times for reasons I could not fathom my knee wasn’t sore so that wasn’t it but oh my it might be warmer in Fuerteventura than the UK but the wind is tremendous!

Don’t know why I couldn’t do the 2nd 10 mins but I will take it on the chin have a rest day and redo R2 on Wednesday

Hope your all having a great day 😊

I've got the troublesome W6R1 to do today and will then hopefully join you on W6R2 Wed 20th too! I've tried to "follow" anyone I notice is at the same stage as me for some moral support/counselling ;-)

Excellent let’s get some feedback on Wednesday then! Good luck 😊

I guess it's a windsurfing capital for a reason. Not sure I have much compassion when you are there and i'm in frozen cambridgeshire :P

Lol no I’ve no sympathy for myself either! 😊

That was the run that scuppered me. Then I managd the 25 minute run at the end of week 6 with no problems.

Don't beat yourself up, it's a hard week! I find it helps to do a mental check list whilst running and you feel you want to stop. Is my breathing okay? If yes, keep going, if no, slow down. Do my legs ache? If yes, that's normal, push through. If they hurt anywhere particularly, that's a concern. If not, keep going. Heart rate okay? Body temp okay? You might discover it's just one of those pesky gremlins holding you back. Or, you might be able to pin point what it was that stopped you. Good luck on your next go, now you've had a practice, I'm sure you'll do fine

Hope W6R2 went well, I did it yesterday and so it's farewell to walk breaks from now on. Second 10 mins seemed to go more quickly for some reason.

I am tempted to also do W6R3 later today since have little chance of running much over Xmas. Although I am mindful of the warnings about consecutive days running I'm tempted anyway. Talk me out of it!

Don’t do it save yourself for tomorrow!! W6R2 done & dusted yesterday I think I just needed to get past the gremlins who were chittering on about my knee lol Let’s kill W6R3 tomorrow together 😊
