FINALLY!! I was supposed to run last night but the weather was atrocious. I mean there's rain and then there's RAIN! Got out this morning under cold, grey but thankfully dry clouds and set off with a bit of a heavy heart. Just over a week ago, I was literally living this programme. But then the week from hell comes along with injury, personal and professional issues and I've felt as though I've missed out on so much. Tomorrow should have been my grad run but here I am just finishing W8R2.
BUT, on the plus side I finished it with no real pain and a pretty good distance of 4.8k. I think I could have done the 5k in 30 minutes so it's all moving in the right direction. I'm just hoping the wheels stay on now until next Saturday so I can get through this in one piece!!

Hi Fraz, glad to see you're still running despite the adversities you're facing and some very decent times too! I would say you're well on track for the 5k by graduation.
Hope the next few runs go well too. Make sure to keep letting us know how you're getting on
Thanks Rollertoaster, I'm definitely feeling more positive now that this mornings run is under my belt. So many gremlins on my shoulders today but I didn't give in to them. Starting to look forward to Sunday's run now and to finally say goodbye to week 8!
Now 6 days since my last run, hoping that I can get back to it this weekend and like you do well! Well done, my next one is wk8 run3, so we are at the same stage as well! However, I don't think I am anywhere near to 5k yet!!!!
Good for you, Fraz, for getting out there and getting the job done! I loved the "just finishing run W8R2"! What a long way we've all come from W1! Good luck with the rest of the programme.
I just felt as though I was sidelined and everyone else was zooming past me. I just have to remember that this is NOT a race and that I can complete it and it doesn't matter how long it takes me to complete it!!
It's taken me a bit longer too, Fraz. I opted to take two rest days as I was developing some knee niggles and didn't want to end up with an injury that would put me out for a while. At the end of the day we're in this for the long run (!), so shouldn't worry too much about completing phase one!
