wk8r3 will have to wait....

Feeling really annoyed that I have come to a halt in week 8. My knee is not improving, and am thinking that I may have to venture to the GP to see what damage I may have done. Rest, ice, anti-inflammatory and pain killers do not seem to be making much difference. Last run was Sunday morning and that went really well, it was not until a couple of hours later that the pain started. Really want to get running again. Work is particularly stressful at the moment, and am working form home tomorrow, so can catch up a bit without any distractions. Would have been great to start the day with a run :(

I'd recommend either pausing to take advice fom GP or give yourself a free days rest and make sure you can climb and descend stairs with no pain or twinges, a week off now may save having to take a month later. I suffered with my knees a few weeks ago, it's my ankle that's giving me jip now :-)

Thanks for the comment. Am feeling stressed from work at the mo, and wish I could get out and run it off a bit! I know that would be stupid though, and doubt I would get very far either. Will rest it up and see how it is after the weekend.

Keep your head up, Caro!! This is only a bump in the road...not a dead end!! Fix that knee up and get back on the road!! I have a "Keep Running" or two in store for you!! :-)

Thanks smhall. I know I will get back out, but is just a bit frustrating at the moment as so near to graduation! Well done on your graduation though!

Caro, I know how disappointed you are, this close to finishing... :-( Phil offered great advice. The program will always be here, don't risk an injury. I had knee problems hit my 8th week also and it stinks big time. Sending healing thoughts your way! :-)
