Never has "Its the Greatest Day" sounded so good.

Just a quick catch up graduated the programme at the end of June went on holiday and was ready to start again doing the 5k+ programmes when I fell off my bike and broke my ankle. (12 weeks ago)

Couldn’t use crutches so spent most of the time sitting or using a Zimmer frame.

Plaster now off for 5 weeks and I am thrilled to say things are beginning to come together.

I walk with no sticks and can now drive the physio was happy enough with my progress too.

So today I had decided to take Laura and try week 1 day 1. I have been using my treadmill so it wasn’t completely off the wall.

Unfortunately today was the day I have a sore throat but gave it a go anyway. Ankle was no more sore than general walking so that was fine but my stamina has dropped off the scale. I nearly didn’t complete because I was so tired but I stopped listening to that voice (I can’t) when I went through the programme last time.

I am so thrilled to be back may give myself 2 rest days but will see how I feel on Friday. There is no rush as long as I keep moving forward, speed and distance where very slow but I will improve.

I would like to thank you all for helping me keep sane these past 12 weeks just reading and your support to my occasional message have really helped.

Glad to read you're up and running again, you've been through quite a lot so it's no wonder you were tired - great that you silenced that inner voice, half the battle IMO. I love that song "The Greatest Day", it's feelgood C25k. Enjoy the programme and the progress you know you'll make. :-)

Really good to hear from you Glenda, pleased to hear your ankle has mended and your back on the programme. Take it nice and steady and listen to your body and your damaged ankle, if you need an extra rest day take it, it will pay off in the long run. (Pardon the pun) Good luck :)

Nice to see you back Glenda, I'm sure the determination you had earlier in the year will see you through the programme again. I bet the treadmill has missed you as much as we have :)
