Yes!! I made 5k in 27 minutes 49 seconds. Unbelievable but true. My first run of Week 8 was a bit epic, full of hard work, head down some of the time (due to the number of driveways I had to cross!) but head up for most of this hard run.
I got the Endomondo app working properly tonight and had Laura doing her stuff as usual. It was a perfect combination: Laura calling time and Endomondo calling the km marks. I knew it was going well after the first km, the second too. It started feeling harder after that but the speed didn't seem to suffer. As Laura gave me the 'five more minutes' shout I knew it would be tight. I couldn't have been happier when I heard the '5km in 27 minutes 49 seconds' from Endomondo just seconds before Laura told me my 28 minutes were up.
I really feel I have worked harder than ever but the reward was just brilliant. I can't quite believe that I have got to 5k already. I just hope I can keep this up on the other two runs of this week. What a challenge.

Well done, I didn't even reach 4k on my last run (wk8 r2) but just happy that I managed to complete 28 minutes. That is a very good distance for week 8, and I wonder how many others have gone 5k at this stage?
You are a hero! Well done! You said it wasn't easy, yet you got stuck in and did 5 whole k! That will really spur you on for your last 5 runs -and basically it's 2 more runs the same then add on 2 more minutes for W9. Sorted! You will have no problems graduating.
