I completed week one today (4 runs this week), but I am unsure on how often you are meant to run. Is 4 times a week ok, my family are all keen runners all running half marathons etc so they push me to go out more. How many times does everyone run?
Thanks

Well done, Whatababe. Great start! As to how often to run - the programme says every other day but I know some people do 3 times a week. I started leaving one rest day but have now extended this to mostly leaving two days. I feel this helps me to keep injury at bay (I've had a few wee niggles but not enough to stop me) and also I run better after two days rest. I think the answer to your question is: do what you feel best, listen to what your body is telling you. It doesn't matter how long it takes to complete the programme and I like to do other stuff in between runs such as Curves, cycling, tennis etc. good luck with the rest of the programme!
Well done on completing week one!! In some ways that was my hardest week, although they all have their challenges (now on week 5).
I run 3 times a week - usually once at the weekend and twice during the week. I try to fit runs in with the weather forecast (don't laugh but why get wet and cold when tomorrow is supposed to be dry?) as well as planning out what else is happening in the week. I don't think it really matters too much - if your body will "let" you do every other day then fine, but if you need to take 2 rest days then also fine. You just get through the program a bit quicker with every other day - but as we know it's not a race!
