Back to Week 1 for me....but it's ok...

So - my right knee was killing me. My DH is an avid marathoner and has been beyond excited about me running. As of a little over a week ago, I must have incurred some sort of injury. So I made the decision to take a little time off. Back on as of today. Figured I would take it back to Week One.

It is ok KatySpice. I had to stop and restart after taking a few weeks off due to knee injury.

Once I started up again (and with the help of new shoes) I didn't have any problems. Your body will also remember what to do and it will be easier the second time around.

Good for you and good luck!

Currently sitting with ice pack wrapped around my knee........ plan to take a few days rest, get some decent running shoes and then heading out again, glad to hear that it is possible to get back to it again!

Thank you for the support! I was so gungho in the beginning that immediately signed up for a 5k that is to take place on Saturday...I want the t-shirt so I may have to run, walk and crawl. I am lucky that DH also doubles as my bodyguard/paramedic/water bottle carrier! *sigh*

Welcome back, KatySpice!! I think that canuck is right on about your body remembering what it is supposed to be doing! I don't think we give our bodies enough credit!! This time you know what to expect and you will make quick business of W1!!
