Had an ankle stress fracture that happened on W8R1...it was slooooow in healing...but I've been out of my boot since August 2nd, and it took up until last week with just walking and building up stamina on that ankle, along with now feeling no pain at all, to get to my first run yesterday--and boy, did that feel GOOD!
Thank goodness I was able to read the various posts to keep me motivated to get back to the program. I figured that being an initial "newbie" to the program that it wouldn't hurt me to start at the beginning again...for me, it feels right to start there...plus, I have better sneakers to support my feet...I'm ready for R2 this week!
Welcome back!!!! I remember reading a few of your blogs right about time I was starting the program. So happy to read the ankle healed nicely and you were able to get a run in with no problems. Wishing you success this go around!
Thank you for asking lolly! I am into week 8 and find it so astonishing! I hate exercise and have never followed a plan in my life before! I love this community! It keeps me moving!
Wonderful! I know you must be anxious for that "graduate" label. I have always liked exercise in theory, but not in reality (never could run before). This program lets me just "do it" and enjoy running...a simple idea, but one I can finally stick with.
