W1R1 - I'm back!!!

After a winter hiatus I'm back in the program - whoop whoop and a happy dance!

SAD raised its ugly head again in October but by mid January I was feeling much more "normal" so started walking in prep for resuming running which promptly put me on the ic with a niggly knee πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ, that was swiftly topped off with a bout of tonsilitus πŸ€’

Today, after an early finish at work, I got togged out in me running gear and hit W1R1. Oh my word!!! I have lost every bit of fitness I had scrapped together on my last foray with c25k. So much so I should set up a phone line where people pay for heavy breathing 🀣🀣🀣 I hated every minute but I loved every minute - even getting caught in sideways rain.

I'll try and catch up with the antics of the old gang. But want to wish any new comers the best of luck. You have started something amazing.

Happy running folks x

You need to be like my pet tortoise and go into hibernation from October to March!

I'm sure you'll whizz through C25K!

Bring the nosey so and so i am I had to check your posts out 🀣🀣. I used to suffer from SAD on a yearly basis. So bad my Dr got me daylight box treatment .... what a difference it made. No longer on the treatment cause For whatever reason I have not suffered badly from it for about 5 yrs now.... still get the off week every so often but that’s it. Have you asked your Dr about LightBox, if not might be worth an ask. πŸ˜ŠπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Thanks Tonkabella, nose away πŸ™‚

I used to have a sunrise alarm by Lumie but bulb has gone and CBA to get a new one so must sort that now I'm back in the land of living.

I'll certainly look into a light box, how long did you use yours for each day? Did you just do it during the winter?

Oct Nov Dec are my dodgy months. 2017 winter was so bad I went to see the Dr. Not a great deal of help but did get them to check my vit D levels. Turned out they were through the floor so doc put me on super high dose. I felt like a new woman :) so this year I started over the counter vit D and I believe it helped. My friends told me I wasn't as bad so a noticeable difference. I also took a winter sun holiday, medicinal purposes only of course 🀣

My other half always takes me away to the sunshine in Winter.... just in case 😊. It depends on the light out put mine was a 10,000 lux so about 30 mins a day, I’d do a bit longer if I felt it was needed. Some boxes are have lesser out put so you would sit for longer. Vit D is a big help just make sure you use a good quality πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
