Parkrun in my brand new C25k shirt

New T-shirt arrived this week. For those interested, I went for the pale blue with white logo to match the white mesh under the arms (or oxters for my fellow Scots!). As to sizes, I really don't know. I ordered the biggest size based on the measurements on the site but before I put it on I compared it with a couple of M&S T-shirts - a size18 which I used to be and a 14 which I am now. There was a couple of inches extra on both sides even on the 18. However when I put it on it didn't look too big - loose certainly but not enormous. I reckon I could go down at least one size and would be interested in what others have found.

As to the Parkrun, I managed a new PB of 28.08 half a minute faster. At the start of the race they said Adidas was going to donate a few pence to a breast cancer charity for every 5 seconds off PBs. So pleased I was able to do my bit however small. I still find there is a point about 3.5k, where there is usually a headwind, that I have to keep persuading myself I can do this and to keep going. Once I'm past 4k it seems easier as I'm then looking for the van and the finish line. Even managed a bit of a sprint to the line.

Many congratulations on your new PB at Parkrun, in your new Tshirt too, what a good advert that must have been for C25K, well done. We had a good turn out yesterday for our Parkrun although I did a duty instead of running. Nice one :)

Well done, I am only on week2 but it's nice to see people who have graduated carrying on

28.08 - a brilliant time! I am trying to get below 27m for 5K, I time I don't think I'm every going to manage but the podcast coached interval work I'm about to start on this week might get me there...eventually!

Good going on your PB.
