Got very little sleep (again). I was still awake at 2 am and my alarm went off at 5.45...Whoo, having a lie in now the pressure's off!) I really felt like death warmed up...a familiar feeling, I'm sure there was a run in the past when I didn't feel like this! Going up the hilly bit, I STOPPED aaarrgggh! After 3 steps, during which I gave myself a very fast and stern talking to, I ran again. My usual route but I carried on a little bit at the end and did 5.6K. I may be wrong but I think I did 5.4K on W9r3, so although today took me about 38 minutes, I did go the extra few yards. I don't think I'm going to bother too much about increasing distance, I would like to speed up a bit though. I'm 56 so I can't see the need to run for longer. I just want to feel fitter.

Glad to read you are keeping at it Stayinbed (I had the same fear about worrying I might slip after graduation), I'm plugging away at those 30 minute runs so full of admiration for those who can run for longer, once I get to 30 it's like the fairygod mother turns me back into a couch potato!
