Week 9, Run 3 Completed - Yeh!

Laura and I have been running together since 12th July and completed Week 9, Run 3 last evening and have prepared my acceptance speech for the graduation badge…

Stage set: Promoters logo’s on displays behind where I stand and a £10,000 contract for wearing their shoes and clothing for this speech is on the desk in front of me…

“I have really enjoyed the Couch to 5K challenge. I am anxious now that I will be able to build on this in the coming weeks and months and have set some goals; reaching 5k in 30 mins; completing my first park run and maybe entering a 10k or half marathon event eventually.

I would encourage everyone to keep up their determination and hard work so that together we can become healthier, physically and mentally.

A big thank you to all the gang on the forum for their encouragement, to my family for their support and for the kids in the local park who have the decency to only laugh at me running after I have passed them".

Stage set: Loud applause and a shot of me running with Laura plays as I fade out running into the distance.

Not a dry eye in the house Lane! What a speech! Congratulation on your achievement and I hope you get a hottie handing the award over to you!

Even louder applause and now a break for the adverts.......

But seriously, a big WELL DONE and keep it up.

Start your own "Acceptance Speach" as you run - great motivator.
