Week 7, Run 1. Heavy legs.

Week 7, Run 1.

Legs pretty much felt like lead for the whole way round, which was annoying. I don't think my body works very well on only 1 days rest in-between the longer runs.

I was fine for 5 minutes, the next 10 minutes is pure hell, with my body and brain complaining the whole way. Then I get to 15 minutes and it's as if my body resigns itself to what is going on and I feel fine for the next 10 minutes (apart from the heavy legs).

Still 25 minutes run, just over 3.5k. Slightly longer and slightly quicker than the last 25 minute run 2 days ago, even though I felt worse, so that's nice.

Next run Sunday morning. Morning runs are much easier for me so i'm hoping that goes well, if only I wasn't so lazy and could get up and do them during the week too.

I think it's all part of the body adapting especially once we hit the longer distances stage, I can still get heavy legs but it happens less often than it used to. You could try Googling stretching exercises and see if there's anything there that might help.
