After only managing to run 3.4 km in W9R3 I decided to work on getting to 5 km before starting on the C25K+ podcasts. So I set off this morning with my own music, I found it really hard without Laura at first but after 15 minutes managed to get settled down to a comfortable rhythm and speed. I was doing really well till I got to a hill at 33 minutes and had to slow down and walk up it, I then continued to run and in total managed 40 mins and 4.3 km, although I feel like I cheated by walking up the hill. Hopefully I might make it to 5km by the end of next week and then I can start working on my speed

Hi - so please just clarify to me, now you are a graduate are you are aiming to run 5k no matter what the time and then going to try and do it in shorter times? Thanks for advice, Lane.
Yes, see your point about wanting to achieve that 5K goal. I have been thinking for some time of what my plan will be once I graduate, and I am going to do a week of 30 mins runs then go for the nearly 5k running in whatever time it takes, building up to 5k whatever time it takes and then go for increase speed. Good luck!
