Do you have a motivational quote to keep you r... - Couch to 5K
Do you have a motivational quote to keep you running? If so what is it?

5ktrainingschedules.com/wp-... is my mantra.

i just look at the next lamp post and think i can do this and i'll do further next time

I've got a new one!!
1,2,3,4, keep to the beat with your feet
1,2,3,4, stamina building thats for sure
1,2,3,4, kept going now back at my door
1,2,3,4, I like this running I'll do some more!!

I use the one Greg_M came up with 'I'm a Kenyan on the inside!'

"Beat the stitch don't let the stitch beat you"

I also quite often use...
"Pick your feet up you lazy ******** or I'll kick your **** when you get home......."
But I am not sure that helps!

Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still - chinese proverb
"If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it, then I CAN achieve it" - Mohammed Ali

"Remember that the first step is the hardest, get out the door and the rest will come easily"
and "be focused and determined"

Since I have recently quit smoking and started this running, my mantra is "I'm not a smoker, I'm a runner!" I realize it doesn't apply to everyone, but it works for me

"only nine minutes left until i have ran ten minutes, only three minutes left until i have ran fifteen" these silly mindgames right up to about five mins from the end.
Unfortunately I'm dead set against advertising, but a certain sports wear company hit the nail on the head.
JUST DO IT!!!

I remind myself regularly that running is 50% physical and 100% mental. Whenever it feels good to stop just keep on going for that bit longer, and again, and again....

"I can do this".
