Week 5 Run 3, completed!! WHOOP WHOOP!!!!
Ah darlin, good for you. I hope I'm still going by then. Well done you.
Fair play kaydee! I've just completed W5R1 so I'll be doing the 20 mins on Friday. Pretty nervous, I must say!
That run is the turning point. The build up is a psychological hurdle but once you have done it, that feeling of elation is so amazing. Then you know in your mind you can run. I will never forget it. Well done, you won't have to feel nervous about any more of your runs you know you can do it.
Very well done !!! It is definitely a pivotal run - it was the hardest i did and after that it all worked - its when i became a runner and also learnt that however **** i felt I could just keep going and make it!
Well done. I think both mentally and physically that run is the hardest. I'm due to do 25 mins tomorrow but although I'm a bit scared of it, in my mind I know I've 20 so I'm pretty sure I can manage the 25. keep up the good work!
Thank you for all the lovely comments and advice! I am still chuffed about the run1 W6R1 tomorrow! Can't wait! Its a strange thing coming from my mouth, I must say! Can't wait for a run!
Good luck to DublinRunner and BillyJoelle for their 20 min runs on Friday! I know you will do it guys, if I can anyone can!
Such an amazing feeling from that run...well done
Well done what an achievement, I have my wk5r3 on Friday, must say didn't think I could run for 8minutes and it felt great when I did. Not looking forward to the 20minutes on Friday but am going to push myself, I got some new running trainers today so am looking forward to trying them out. Reading all the blogs really helps to keep you motivated, it's great
Well done! I did W5r1 today and really enjoyed it, but was paranoid about Laura's comment of feeling it psychologically. Just need to get friday and w5r2 out of the way - then its the big one. I'll be doing it when I'm away camping on holiday... hope there aren't too many hills!
Thanks Kaydee and everyone on here for your inspiration and encouragement. WK5R2 went OK and I am actually LOOKING FORWARD to attempting the 20mins tomorrow...who is this person I'm turning into?! I might even wear a new top I bought for running...I normally try and look inconspicuous with baggy t-shirt and shorts but my new top is bright and funky! (It's the little things)
Good luck to everyone with Wk5R3 coming up
